The IEEE802.11ac-compatible wireless LAN accessory for EOS-1D X Mark II, WFT-E8A allows high-speed data transfer using the 5 GHz frequency band, and also supports the transfer of secure, encrypted data through FTPS. Wireless file transfers up to a distance of 150m is possible. As the accessory draws power from the camera, there is no need for a separate power socket. Compatible with the Camera Connect app, you can use a smart device to remotely control camera operations during still and video shooting. More advanced browser-based remote control functions are available via WFT Server. As WFT-E8A is compact and has the same drip- and dust-resistance as the EOS-1D X Mark II, it can be used for all kinds of shooting scenes.
